Knowlede about computers is essential to get by life in this modern era. Almost everybody is equipped with knowledge of computing and if you are not, you are in for a nightmare. There’s no place that you could go to in terms of career without the help of a computer therefore, if you are not trained in computer skills, now is the time to prepare yourself for what the future holds. This is the main reason for the high demand in computer training jobs. Since more and more people flock into computer training centers and institutes computer training jobs need to be filled rapidly.

Computer technicians and computer trainers are not available to fill the huge void left by this new wave of computer enthusiasts. Some of these computer training jobs are not easy to fill mainly because of the high risk and responsibility that comes with it. Students that arrive at these computer training centers place a huge trust in the trainers and staff therefore it’s important to choose the trainers carefully and because of this reason most of the computer training jobs that are vacant cannot be filled. Even though there are plenty of technicians available most of them are not qualified as required by these computer training centers.

Major companies and corporate giants have lately turned to hiring their own technicians and trainers. Therefore computer training jobs are offered at company level as well. This is because of the high competition and cost effectiveness that these companies rely on. At the same time these big businesses rely heavily on IT and computer networks that if by chance their networks falter the company would suffer huge losses. All employees must be trained adequately when it comes to handling a computer and a network, and thus a lot of computer training jobs are vacant at these organizations.

So that is the reason why many young people aspire to seek computer training jobs. For this to become a reality they must get themselves a sound education and a better qualification to certify it. There are many centers that provide training for these young hopefuls. A proper certification by one of these centers should provide them with good computer training jobs. Many experienced trainers are regularly offered lucrative computer training jobs at big companies. The key here is the experience they have.

If your still thinking about the best way forward for you with the talent you have in computing, it is time to consider computer training job. It’s better late than never. Go online and apply now.

You’ve done your interview preparation, now what’s the best job interview practice?

There is a lot of time and effort sunk into preparing properly for a job interview. This interview prep is vital, but can be undone if you perform poorly at interview…

This is where sound job interview practice should be employed to ensure any mistakes our made in the interview rehearsal and not on your big day!

STOP! before looking at good job interview practice, can I ask if you’ve done your interview research and interview prep work?

Interviewing success is dependent on you demonstrating your interest in the role your applying for, and by researching your target’s market, competitors, the team, and the specific role, you have the ammo to show them your commitment!

Interview Sniper is our free interviewing answers eGuide that includes all the vital interview techniques that’ll help you turn interview into offers! There’s some good stuff in it which will make you job interview practice even more effective…

Interview Preparation should also include the types of interview, interview questions, and how you should answer and ask your own questions.

Your job interview preparation needs to prepare you for group interviews, panel interviews, competency and behavioural based interviews, and the different type of questions that may be asked.

I like the STAR Method technique for answering those difficult behavioural and competency interview questions, as it gives the interviewer exactly what THEY want, and is easy for you to remember under interview pressure.

Wow!

Well done if you’ve done all this interview prep, your well ahead of the majority of job seekers, and you’ve only a little way to go…

A little sprinkling of solid job interview practice, should now see you home and dry.

Rehearsing for your job interview isn’t easy though, as it’s hard to do job interview practice on your own.

Ideally you can enlist the help of a friend, colleague or family member. If the interview is important enough you can pay a pro interview coach to practice with.

This can be a prohibitive cost, so asking a favour from a friend, family member or colleague, is an affordable job interview practice option.

So compile your list of common job interview questions, those tough behavioural interview questions, and competency based job interview questions, give them to you’re helpful friend, and encourage them to give you a real practice interview grilling!

It’s also a good idea to blend in some technical skills questions as well. Technical skills are for example knowledge of accounting practice for an accountant, or project management best practice for a project manager. Include technical skills questions as well if appropriate. I mean if your role is dependent on a key skill like accounting for an accountant or law for a lawyer, build these in as well.

You’ll get a chance to correct any errors or weaknesses well in advance of your big day. This for of job interview practice does really pay dividends!

Confidence is another important component to the interviewing game, and a good job interview practice strategy will really help boost your confidence.

Two job interview prep techniques you can practice on your own. I strongly suggest using the star method for building great interview answers. A great interview practice technique to ensure you answers trip elegantly from your tongue is to say them out load. Well worth doing as what you may have planned may look good on paper or in your imagination, but if the words don’t flow naturally for you, you’ll want to revise them. It’s really helpful to use your natural language and vocabulary.

Another interview practice technique you can employ is visualization. This is easy, restful, and brilliantly successful. Most top sports people use visualization as key part of their training and preparation.

There are many scientific studies that conclude that visualization boosts confidence and with it performance. So simply relax, close your eyes and run a daydreaming like film of how you want your interview to go. Take your time and see yourself enjoying the interview and getting on great with your interviewer, gliding through the toughest of questions.

It may seem weird but this stuff really works, it’s a great form of job interview practice, and if somebody as naturally talented as Tiger Woods uses it there must be something to it.

I personally liked practicing for my interviews on my own, but now there is another option… A interactive on-line service that enables you to practice your interview skills as much as you want via your computer. This service is also really good as the practice interviews are specifically targeted to job types. Well worth checking out if your serious about acing job interviews.

www.hubpages.com/hub/Interview-Gold”>interactive job interview practice click here~ I’m interested to find out how interactive job interview practice may help me.~ If you like to see how industry targeted interactive job interview practice will help you please click this link.}

If there is a job you really want, it is important for your cover letter samples to be exceptional. There are many people currently unemployed and as a result, employers are bombarded with applications for every existing position. All of this competition means you will not stand a chance at the job if your cover letter is not great. Knowing where to find cover letters samples is the key.

You can no longer depend on having your cover letter stand out just because there are no spelling and grammar mistakes. Years ago, this type of attention to detail may have made you stand out but not anymore. In fact, right now even one small error can result in your cover letter being dropped from consideration.

You should remember a few key points when you write your cover letters samples. The length of your cover letter is one of the important factors to consider. You certainly want your cover letter to be long enough to sell yourself but, if it is too long, the employer may not read it completely.

After that you should make sure your cover letter is readable. It is fair to say the first time a potential employer looks at a cover letter he likely just scans it. Your cover letter will be either discarded or considered further after this initial scan. Keeping the length of paragraphs short in your cover letters samples makes it easy for an employer to scan your resume and common fonts and sizes also help.

Lastly, it is critical to avoid the crucial mistake of speaking ill of your previous employer in your cover letter. What you say about your previous employer may be true but it will give the potential employer a bad impression of your. It may be necessary to mention your previous employer but only do so to discuss the work you did there that qualifies you for the position you are seeking and do not speak unkindly of the previous employer for any reason.

Hunting for the perfect job for an individual requires time, effort and knowledge.

Things to consider when starting your search for a job include:

 1. If you apply for positions where you have no knowledge or prior experience you are likely to be wasting your time. Instead focus on jobs you will be good at. Consider your interests, preference of work location and job shifts (to be especially considered by professionals who have family members to take care of). Once you are sure you are capable of the job and are happy with how it would fit into your life you should consider applying.

 2. Make sure your CV is up to date and available if requested. Also, prepare other documents detailing your achievements and skills so you can present this if required.

 3. Be aware of places which advertise job vacancies

Jobs are generally advertised in the following ways:

3.1 Internet. One of most widely used searching options is the Internet. Make sure you check the websites of companies, like IKEA for any vacant IKEA Jobs.

If you are searching for a job with a major employer such as Tesco then have a look at sites like www.jobsvacancies.org where you will find lots of useful information.

As you can search from home in your own time, the internet not only offers a convenient way to job hunt but it is also very cost effective.

As you can search from your home you are not having to pay for petrol, nor do you need to pay for jobs newspapers.

Newspapers are often limited to local jobs, but using the internet means you can search the entire country for your dream job.

3.2 The jobs section in your local newspaper is still a very good way of finding a job.

A newspaper is a good source if you are looking for a local job in a short commuting distance.

3.3 Job / Careers Advice Centres. Job centres offer advice to a wide range of applicants for a variety of roles.

Job centres are always updating the vacancies available, so make sure you visit frequently.

3.4 If you are searching for a professional career then you should make use of any publications or magazines linked to your chosen field, as employers will target people who read these publications.

3.5 Offices. Most offices have postings of job openings on their Vacancy Boards. Applicants may directly go to the office to look for vacancies and then directly submit the resume or other pertinent documents to the respective division that receives such documents.

Throughout our working life we all try and advance our careers. It is natural to feel that a promotion to a more senior level is a reward for all previous hard work. However, for some whose luck seems to be so illusive, they have to find their own growth somewhere else. Searching for a senior job vacancy with an alternative employer is a common way for people to fulfil their ambitions. Online websites like www.jobsvacancies.org can help you to find your next senior role. Looking for executive roles within Marks and Spencer job vacancies is easy through the websites.

Securing a promotion can never be just down to luck. There are other factors which require consideration.

The tips below should help you secure your next promotion or senior job.

1. Appearance

How you dress for interview can determine if you are successful in getting the job offer.

First impressions last a long time, so always dress smartly.

You should dress in a manner that is suitable for the vacancy you are applying for. If you are required to wear smart clothes for work then dress smartly for the interview.

2. Show confidence.

Employers searching for a senior vacancy generally hire candidates who are knowledgeable and already have experience in the role. You should therefore be confident about your previous experiences and how you could apply them to the new role. The employer will be able to see that you have already had success in your career and that you are keen to progress in your chosen field.

Don’t present yourself as someone who can do everything, but focus on the skills the employer is searching for.
6 out of 10 applicants are chosen predominately thanks to what they have acheieved in their previous roles. This shows that candidates are hired thanks to their successes so far. Finding vacancies is the easy part, but securing them is much more difficult.

Look and act the part and you may just secure that vacancy!

Once you have found the dream job vacancy, using search tools such as www.jobsvacancies.org, you need to start preparing for interview.

The application form has been completed and the CV has been posted. The phone call has arrived, you have been selected for interview, but what happens next? The interview itself is often the most stressful part when it comes to finding your next job.The decision to hire or reject you for the job is made at the interview stage.

You will want to do your best in this part because here lays the culmination of all your job hunting efforts.Flub it here and all your efforts from application to examinations will go down the drain.

1.Making the right impression.
Always dress in your best attire for the interview. Your attire should be appropriate.Ensure you are dressed in a professional manner, regardless of the vacancy you are applying for.

2. Do a Little Research
Having a good understanding about the company you are applying to work at will always leave a good impression. This will equip you with material to answer many of the questions the interviewer will ask. For example, if you are having an interview for Sainsbury’s jobs, research the history and development of that particular supermarket. You will most likely asked why the company would benefit from employing you.If you know a thing or two about the company, you will find it a lot easier to answer this question.

Understand the importance of your body language.
Be aware that interviewers take note of your body language as they try and gain a clear picture of your personality.Don’t try to act too differently than how you are in normal life.Present yourself in a way that shows you are relaxed and confident.Avoid telling lies or embellishing your answers. Experienced interviewers will notice this in an instant.Maintain appropriate levels of eye contact throughout the interview, don’t slouch or cross your arms defensively.

4. Appear confident.
Don’t be embarrassed to appear confident. When speaking and answering questions you should have a tone of confidence in your voice.Be confident when answering questions, even if they are tricky, but don’t be afraid of saying that you don’t know the answer. You will appear capable and competent if you approach the interview with confidence. It is this sort of person who usually secures the job.

The unemployment rate rose by 0.4 percentage points to 8.4%, the highest rate in 11 years. Since the employment peak of last October, employment has fallen by 363,000 or 2.1%.”

Under such a high-record unemployment rate, even qualified and experienced people are having difficult time to land a good quality job, or simply don’t get any job at all.

Can’t find a job? Is that the end of world?

Absolutely not at all. I want you to read this.

The winner is the person who is good at looking for the job, not the one who is qualified for the job…

Is that about the time to rethink of “job search” as a whole?

……

It sounds like a dream, doesn’t it? However, personally I would not work for a job that requires me to commute more than half hour one way. I know that does stress my job searching skill.

It makes smaller cities more attractive to a lot of people in North America now. Life style is quite relaxing and less stressful between work and family. You know what, money isn’t everything, right. I won’t waste approximately 500 hours a year on the road by myself. That is boring… In the other hand, I love to ride my bike to the work.

Of course, the question is “how to find jobs near me”? If you happen to live in one of big cities on the list above. Let me show you.

If you only target the job openings on the Internet job search sites, such as Monsters, Yahoo Hotjob, and Workopolis (Canada site), then you really have no guarantee to find jobs near you. You get to eat whatever is available. Too bad.

Don’t the companies near you have any job openings? Absolutely, they do!

In any kind of job market condition, there is 4% nature downsizing in any given companies. People retire, people move on and find a better job with better pay, or better benefit, or like we hoped, closer to home.

What does matter is if you possess the skills to find job in your area.

Open your local phone books, there are thousands companies near you. It might be smart to target those company just to contact them directly and ask if they have any opening or not. Of course, you should not pick randam companies and just call them. I don’t have life for a thick YellowPages.

What it takes is to filter out of the companies from the list that are either not an interest to you or less chance to have any openings. It is a crucial to conduct your own research to make a short-list out of business directory, you focus your job search effort on them.

You direct contact them by phone, by mail or even drop-in. You may surprise yourself, after a lot of Nos, you will get a solid yes. Even better there is almost zero competition once you identify the opportunity. That is what we called to find a job in the hidden job market.

That doesn’t sounds like complicated.

Home Study Course: The Secrets of The Hidden Job Market

WFH – Work From Home

There is anothe solution for get less of commuting is to convience your boss to let you work from home, let’s say, three days a week, or two days a week if all that possible.

It is not easy as your boss will worry about you might swing away from the team culture, or less productive, etc.

Own Your Job

There are so many advertising on Google searches, offering you the opportunities to work from home and making $xxx per day or per week. I haven’t tried myself, but it might be a legitimate business to do.

You might just buy a small business to run or start on your own. Solve that issue once for all.

My Take

If all other solutions might sound complex to you then why not just learn how to find job in the hidden job market.

It is tough job market out there

Something really surprised me from a news website.

“Cathy Hoyt had to tell job-hunters the bad news. They had arrived too late to get an interview for a job at the new larger store Safeway will open on Mission Street in Santa Cruz in July.”

Would you laugh at this or what?

First, for finding a entry level job, I won’t focus on the public job openings. A simple reason is the public openings attract too many job applicants. If you read the above news right, you get a sense of competition going on in those public entry level job openings.

Secondly, you will have a better chance to find a starter job in the small business area. That is the biggest secrets I would like to share with you. Small business is dynamic and usually has higher turn-over ratio but it has a big appetite for entry level employees. Once you get yourself established in the industry, trained on the job, then you can decide if you would like to pursue more advance career.

Small business can’t afford expensive recruiting methods like posting jobs, hiring job agents, and so on. So we pretty much rely on referral from friends and employees, or direct contact from active job hunters.

Cold call or Direct Mail offers the best chance to find entry level jobs

That is what I would like to point you to, directly contact prospect employers and discover the potential job openings. That is the secrets of the invisible job market. Also See how to find a job

Home Study Course: The Secrets of The Hidden Job Market

1. You need research your target industry, major players, industry classification and business directory. Narrow your target areas and make a short-list from business directory or YellowPages based upon who you would like to work for. Apparent, you don’t have time to go after all of them. So focus on most fruitful areas.

2. Contact them directly. If you are comfortable with telephone selling, some of you might want to do cold-call for jobs. Personal, I prefer to run direct mail campaign, or so called targeted mail broadcast. We are getting amazing result with that. Giving the fact there are so many spammer out there, email usually is not a good option for this purpose.

3. Still you need a presentable cover letter and resume for quick recognition from the employer.

4. The key for improving the success rate of of any direct contact job searching is to follow up to the death, you either get a no, or you get an interview. Then do a good job in the interview, please. Don’t waste precious opportunity you have digged out from the hidden job market.

Self Assessment

It really pays to think about how the market is really in demand that is about research again. I don’t believe you need go back to school, but some learning does help you with more sellable skills. You will be more attractive for hiring for sure. You can go out of your core skills, build something practical and useful while you are having more time at your disposal.

Persistent and Consistent

Obviously, there isn’t any easy food for us those days while unemployment rate is going above 2 digits very soon. If you decide to target the invisible job market and then start from learning how to find a job in the hidden job market first. It is not difficult, it is embarrassing that the fact is everyone can learn it.

I was a new immigrant and have found jobs through the hidden job market. I have coached the people successfully as well. There isn’t any reason you can’t find a job quickly in the hidden job market, but it requires persistent and consistent. The biggest challenge is job hunters quite offer give up too soon.

Co-op

I am not a big fun of co-op I rather improve my job search skill and find a paid job rather than wasting time on unpaid job. It makes you afraid of going out and getting the result. You are just going to hate yourself.

At the end of co-op term, there is still no guarantee for the position, so what are you going to do? Start all over again. That is testing my sanity here.

Why You Should Do This

If you don’t mind the hard work, then you should be determined to focus on small business section and look for unadvertised job openings. Once you find one, from my experience, there is exclusive for you and nobody else’s business. So you soon can tell how easy to get into the door and find starter jobs to survive the most difficult time of our history.
